When I first came to Yana, I was struggling with absolutely every aspect of my health, from eating habits to movement, and after having my first baby 2 years ago, my body image and confidence was absolutely wrecked. I didn’t feel like myself, or in control at all. Yana changed everything, she’s equipped me with the tools to succeed, helping me understand what my body needs without feeling like I was on a “diet”. Not only that, but for the first time in my life I’m actually enjoying it - Yana helped change my perspective on seeing it as a positive investment into myself instead of the punishment I always treated it as in the past. I’ve still got a long way to go, but I know I’ll have all the support I need to get me where I want to be both physically and personally.

I remember always being know as the 'little one' growing up, the one who always ate to her appetite, I was never fixated on food & was always getting comments on how small, petite & little I was. I can kind of remember this being a BIG part of my identity  as I entered high school. I used to bike ride for hours (like 6-8) on an apple + water & then come home for dinner. 

 

However, my pivot into adolescence was a real struggle as I’m sure alot of you can relate.

 

I ballooned into a 'pear shaped' & bottom heavy woman overnight during puberty & was ridiculed for my shape. I was still small but soft, couldn't fit into my jeans. I felt so dissatisfied & uncomfortable in my changing body & I had no skills to make the change I wanted on how to FEEL like myself again. 

I can remember between the ages of 15-18 I spent alot of time with my boyfriend who had INSANELY different (and poor) eating habits compared to mine & this only fueled this out of control spin. So then sparked a crazy journey to try feel like myself again. 

I did pretty much every dumb thing you can think of over the next few years. this started with chronic dieting, running 5-10km daily on next to no food, Eating only salads, soup diets, 'celebrity diets' shakes, pills, diet foods, keto. It was grueling, always short lived & never came even close to the results I was chasing. 

People would say 'this is just how you are', make fun of my efforts, ridicule me & take bets on how long it would take to 'give up' this time. They would say  'don't worry, you're not 'that bad' or 'you're not overweight why are you trying so hard' but I was discontent, lacking confidence & wanted to feel fit, strong & healthy. SO I continued in silence without sharing goals - the dumb and urgent choices continued EVERY DUMB THING YOU CAN THINK OF - I have tried it.

 

If this sounds famlilar - I have been where you are now, I get it!

 

So one day I got dragged to a 'Body Pump' class. After my workouts I noticed how good I felt, it wasn't like punishment & had such a positive social aspect & I wanted to see what else was possible. Weight training just in a group setting started to show results & it hardly felt like I was trying. 

 

I became obsessed, researched every little thing about the women I wanted to look like. It turns out they were fitness models & THEY ATE ALOT OF FOOD & LIFTED HEAVY. I trained in a gym (sometimes twice a day), lived on bodybuilding.com, dieted, trained , researched & started program after program BUT still failed to create the body I wanted.

 

However I did realise it was in reach I just NEEDED support, education & an unbiased, educated opinion - I needed my own process, mapped out for me. I wasted so much time (YEARS) trying to get the body I wanted on my own... 

 

I sought out a few trainers - mostly men & they didn't seem to care, it was disheartening. It took me a while to find the right coach. I did a nutrition 1 on 1, worked with an experienced trainer & started to take it all into my own hands, my mindset, self confidence & body transformed.

 

That’s when the results flowed. I was learning about strength not scarcity, I was discovering what my body was truly capable of when I'm not just trying to be small, nourishing myself, working hard & smart - I was suddenly alive & my career was born.  I wanted to share this amazing feeling & the ability to transform INSIDE with other woman. The drive I felt - it was powerful.

 

I studied, had a baby & had a second awakening with the crazy growth & mental transformation of becoming a mum. 

 

Since then I have been able to help 100’s of women to feel strong and confident! I’ve put together all my experience and secrets in an easy to follow system that provides proven, lasting results and can be accessed from anywhere in the world.
